Rules for Dueling
1) Each Player starts at 4000 LP
2) You can only attack with one monster per turn
3) Level 1-4 Can be Normal Summoned W/out Tribute
4) Level 5-8 Requires 1 Tribute
5) Level 9-11 Require 2 Tributes
6) Level 12 Requires 3 Tributes
7-1) Decks need to be constructed under the format 20 Normal Monster, 5 Effect Monsters, 10 Spells, 5 Traps. No XYZ or Synchros.
7-2) No Ritual Summons,Limited to 1 Fusion Summon w/o effects, God Cards, Win Condition, and Burn are Banned.
7-3) Limited to having only one copy of spell and trap cards, also Limited to only have 1 copy of each effect monster.
8)Decks can only have up to 2 Arch-Types. To Clarify I mean only monster type. Such as the example given and not things like Six Samurai or Lightsworn.
(EX.Machine-Pyro, Dragon-Winged Beast, Etc)
9-1)Each Duel will be hosted on certain terrain  that buffs or de-buffs certain types of monsters.
(EX.Mountains give Dragons and Wing-Beasts 300 ATK&DEF while removing 200 ATK&DEF from Warriors and Beasts)
9-2)The Arena types will be explained further into the story.
*Sidenote* The reason decks re built like this is to mimic the show as much as can be done so we can have a better story told environment. So if you have an suggestions feel free to let me know.

Back-story: After being split up at birth from his twin, He lived the normal life as an only child. He goes to school and is currently in his last year. He looks forward to going to Duel Academy through his own means because of the lack of support from his parents. He only has one thing that he holds as dear as his Duel Monster cards and that is his bracelet. It has one charm that has his twins name on it. He hopes that one day he can meet his twin and duel him.

Excuse me I have a question you said a deck can only have 2 archetypes and then said machine-pyro,dragon-winged beast etc....do you mean monster type or archetype? Please explain it more clearly as you say your character has a zombie deck

His father who was a Catholic at heart was killed on his way back from the church in an accident and his mother soon died of heartbreak.His uncles stole all of his inheritance and left him to die on the streets when he was only 8.He managed to survive on the streets with his talent in dueling.When the Duelist Island was announced, Merrin joined it in an attempt to get back his inheritance from his uncles

Back-story: Paradox Knight is an orphan and is protector of his brother and sister. They live in their granddad's Because life is tough due to bullying towards him, he enters the duelist Island to show off his skills to get the right respect and to become the top rated duelist in the world, but what he doesn't know is that the cross chain has kept dark power in his soul and body and the only way to get it out is to lose in a duel, even though no one has achieved to beat him.

Back Story: Eiichi  a city called Osaka, Japan. It was the central for synchro duelists where they could test their strength. Eiichi used an infernity deck and was extremely powerful; however, that was his downfall. From above 3 machines called meklords wisel, granel, and skiel detected strong synchro levels and came down to eradicate it. Not knowing his demise Eiichi kept turbo dueling, 'reving it up', and suddenly THEY descended. They destroyed everything the city, the decks, the people, and Eiichi' body was severely damaged and he was unconscious for 2 weeks. Luckily Natsuru Masashi, a machine specialist was able to rebuild his and Eiichi's body with spare metal parts now becoming demonic machines able to control the meklords. Exactly doing that, Eiichi absorbed their energy and memories and now seeks to destroy synchros. However, his body was not compatible with the energy thus releasing it and creating a worm hole and sending him to the "Duelist Island". And the story continues...
